Thoughts on Death (Part 32): The Art of Dying While Alive (to Be Reborn)

Death (EP 348) Perhaps one of the greatest misunderstandings of existence is believing that death begins when the body stops breathing. Long before that moment, life invites us, again and again, to die. Stages of our lives die. Relationships die. Identities, expectations, beliefs, and versions of ourselves that were once necessary also die, but can no longer accompany us into what comes next. Seen this way, death is not simply an event at the end of life. It is a permanent dimension of existence. Everything that is born is destined to transform.
