How many times have you felt alone, separated, and even disconnected from the world?
A story

The story is about a wave that jumps across the sea and has a great time. He enjoys the wind and the fresh air until he sees the other waves in front of him crash against the shore.

“My God, this is terrible!”,” the wave said. “Look what is going to happen to me!” Then another wave comes and sees the first wave, which seems distressed, and says, “Why are you so sad?”

The first wave says, “Don’t you get it? We’re all going to break! All the waves will be undone! Isn’t it terrible? “

The second wave says: “No, it is you who don’t get it. You are not a wave; you are part of the sea. “

Thinking that I am alone and separated from the rest is what leads me to feel fear, insecurity, depression, etc. Each of us is a drop that is part of the ocean. The ocean is the divine source where we all belong, and that source has a very powerful energy of union called love. If I understand that I have the essence of the ocean (that I am love), I will stop feeling fear. Our real being, the soul, is immortal.

We may sleep for a short time in that place we call death, but we will never be destroyed. We exist, and that existence is eternal. The wave reaches the shore and then returns to the sea; it is not lost. It merges with the ocean, or returns again in the form of another wave. This body has come here and will disappear, but the essence of the soul that lives within will never cease to exist. Nothing can annihilate that eternal consciousness.

This is all connected.

Although it may not seem like it, everything, absolutely everything, is related. Even if you feel isolated and independent of everything else, we are all connected. The actions that we carry out and those that we do not, together, will create our reality. Decisions we make today will have short- and long-term consequences in our lives, and they will affect not only you, but also other people directly or indirectly.

For example: Imagine that you decide to quit your job because you feel that it is time to expand in other areas of work and you get a new opportunity. That decision will affect the life of another person. That person who would take your place at that old job is going to experience things that they would not have experienced if you had not take a different path.

Perhaps for the person who has taken your place, this is the opportunity they have been waiting for, and their vibration of happiness will affect their surroundings.

The Universal Consciousness

As simple as it may seem, with every decision we make we are affecting the future of the Universe, and it is precisely called the Universe because everything that vibrates in it forms a unit. Everything is made of the same energy vibrating at different frequencies and all this originates from the divine source, universal consciousness, also known worldwide as God.

In the beginning, universal consciousness was the only thing that existed, and that consciousness (God) decided to know himself, manifesting through millions of sparks of his own consciousness, giving each one the opportunity to manifest on this physical plane.

We choose to come to this planet, taking a physical body to experience the opposite of what we are, the opposite of that divine consciousness. But only through my earthly experiences will I understand that my essence is love and not fear.

Space and time are what create the illusion of separation from everything. If I understand that we all feel fear, anger, sadness, and frustration; that many people have lived experiences similar to mine; and that our mistakes and vulnerabilities are, in some ways, everyone’s, I will be able to understand the feeling of unity.

We are all part of one and the same unit.

The law of unity says that there is no separation between people, animals, objects, planets, or galaxies. We are all part of one and the same unit.

In universal terms, all the matter and energy of the universe were concentrated into a single point: The Big Bang, from the unmanifest, it begins a process of manifestation. Worlds are manifested. The Big Bang is a cyclical process. Worlds are created and universes that are expanding and contracting.

This process of manifestation and contraction is creating universes, but deep down, as different experiments within the field of quantum physics suggest, everything is still united and interrelated despite this apparent separation.

That “everything” continues to be governed by a single energy or intelligence through common universal laws or principles. The key idea that derives from these thoughts is that, between people, there is no separation either. As I said before, we are all one, a great family. We are all part of the same unit.

Humanity is nothing more than a set of souls embodied in different bodies that seek to grow, adapt, evolve, and, of course, be happy. We all have this in common.

Don’t do unto others what you don’t want done unto you.’

Whether we are aware of it or not, everything we do is a small grain of sand that adds up to the scale of the universe, and this can go from darkness to light. If someone suffers, we all suffer. If someone is happy and loved, this generates great benefits for all.

Even though I have my own terrestrial vehicle, called the physical body, and you have yours, in reality, the essence that you have and the essence that I have are the same. It is the one that comes from the whole.

Therefore, if one mistreats others, one is also mistreating oneself. If I harm mother earth, I would be destroying the same place that you inhabit, the place that we share, and here would come that popular saying that says, “Don’t do to others what you don’t want them to do to you.”

By remembering that we are all one, rivalry and the desire to impose our perspective would disappear. We would instead open ourselves to listening, to understanding where the other comes from. In this way, we allow ourselves to validate their emotions. Although we do not share them, we can come to understand them.

You and I are connected.

In the end, we all seek to arrive at the same point: the depths of our being, fulfillment, love, or God. We are all drops in the same ocean. We are all part of the universal energy, of the divine consciousness that makes up the whole; that is where we came from, and that is where we will return when we transcend.

The simple fact that I have written these lines and that you are reading them at this precise moment, on this day, at this time, has generated a change in the direction of your life. A change brought about by the moment I decided to write it and the moment you decided to take the actions that led you to read it.

That is why the enormous power of those small actions that are born from the heart should never be underestimated, since they are the ones that make the difference in our lives.

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. – Mother Teresa
